In 1940, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt promised to aid our ally, Great Britain, in their fight against Nazi Germany. Calling on the industrial strength of the Big Three, Roosevelt promised to put the strength of Detroit, the great “Arsenal of Democracy” to work in arming the Allies.

After the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor, Detroit responded with a fury – producing armaments and vehicles at a pace that defied all expectations. At one point, the Ford Motor Company’s Willow Run Assembly Plant was building B-24 Liberator Bombers at a breakneck rate of one every hour!

This t-shirt commemorates the legacy of Detroit’s manufacturing strength and is a reminder of what this great city can do when it rolls up its sleeves and gets to work.

All Jameson Hard Goods shirts are inspired and designed in their home state of Michigan — just outside the great city of Detroit — and printed in the USA on American Apparel’s 50/50 shirts.

Shirts are available in unisex sizes; XS-S-M-L-XL.
